currently Elijah
Hi all, I come, I'm Elijah and I have 20 years. On July 10, 2010, even with 19 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia T , accompanied by a large tumor mass in the chest. After fixing the setback that was the bad news, after these months of struggle and is still a long way to go until it is healed, I I have a plan: WANT TO LIVE!
In short, to recover the life I left parked, finishing the race, enjoy myself and travel, travel. I have time to thank each and every one of the people that are going on with me these hard times. I want to help Carreras Foundation and collaborate, to bring people, information about the disease and the need for donors bone marrow and blood umblical cord, because really is very limited and we must make people aware of how important it is. I laugh out loud and crush these eight letters that have changed my life: leukemia. But mostly, I enjoy all those little things I never appreciated and I now know what they are worth: a cafe, a walk, sleep in my bed, and a family Christmas at home, and many others .... I think I have a plan and accomplish!
Thanks to the team of hematologists Prince of Asturias University Hospital, especially Dr. Martin. Thanks also to the nurses and assistants, that is, my women, make what has become a force in my second home, is a real home and all the love and strength you give me.
been almost seven months since I was diagnosed: 1 cycle of remission, 5 of consolidation, many days and nights admitted, 3 punctures in the sternum bone and 1 in the hip bone , 5 lumbar punctures DepoCyte, gallons of serum bicarbonate, many steroids, antibiotics, analgesics and anxiolytics, platelet transfusions, and etc ... endless. But what does not happen is the desire to win the game and fight to LIVE!
Many thanks to all donors of blood, platelets, bone marrow, umbilical cord, tissues, organs, to all those unsung heroes that give hope to those who need your help. Thank you very much!
A bald all, be courageous, that these things we are safe!
A big hug,
Elijah.
